Luckily I live in L.A. now and the rest of my family is fine but still... Tornadoes in Mass? Pure insanity.

I live in RI and we just got off tornado watch, I live about 5 minutes away from Mass too, i was a little nervous.
Yeah, I would have been too. I'm probably an ass for thinking this though, but in a way I think seeing a tornado would be one of the massively humbling feats of nature that change your life... Scary as hell none the less.

Damn storms are getting stronger and it's too late to do anything except build your storm cellars guys,I think we'll be turning into moles in the near future.
Hell we updated the scales to EF because storms had higher wind speeds then the old scales,(Katrina is a example but that's a different system),I wonder if in the future the Earth ends up like Mars,with the Super Cells stretching over hundreds of miles and constantly in rotation..... But then again,what am I talking about? 2012 will take care of that.
Yeah, this weather season does seem to suck. I'm just wondering what we're gonna end up with out here in Cali... moreso than the usual blazing infernos and mudslides that is.

Yours is was worse by far! The thing about my old town is just that something like that has never happened in Massachusetts, the last tornado alone was in the 50s and it was nothing like that. All things considered though it's good to know that people are okay (including yourself).

Well that's quite the strange coincidence:
The Massachusetts tornado was in Springfield. Joplin, MO is also next to Springfield.
I think the only logical conclusion is that the tornadoes are systematically trying to do the one thing no one else can... stop the making of new episodes of the Simpsons.
