In Need of a Theme Song.

Posted by sirjeffofshort - September 13th, 2010

EDIT: I have chosen the musicians for the themes of this show, thanks to everyone who submitted.

A message to all musicians out there.

I am looking for someone to write and record a theme song for a new series I am working on. I do want something original and previously unused and I would like to be able to pay for the exclusive license to use the song in the series.

I'll share specific thoughts and needs once I have decided who I would like to go with, however the style I was thinking was something with a punk (possibly techno) feel, possibly like the prodigy or Mindless Self Indulgence. I'm open to other styles, but the bottom line is the music needs to be fun and driving.

Rather than have people do spec work I figured it would be cool if anyone interested just wanted to post a link to their current samples or catalogue here (or PM, either way).

I look forward to hearing what you guys have in store. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who submits.

-Jeff

Hania Lee is a very good musician, but she asks for 500 dollars a song, so beware.

Yeah, I've liked a lot of stuff she does but I'm not sure her style would be quite right.

Hey man, I have been doing some production work recently and would love to write the lyrics up for you.

Yeah, if we end up with a lyric-less song we could see about doing a lyric'd version with you.

Check out ZStriefel or Shadowfox! They're awesome.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up.

Does it need lyrics?

Scribbler is great and fast if you can get a hold of him. I really love his work. :)

Sweet, I'll go listen to some stuff now.

Thanks for the mention Thundaboom, but to set things straight, I don't have a set $ figure when it comes to making songs/music for people, if I charge at all. :)
Jeff, I look forward to watching your series :D

Thanks. Again, I love your music and look forward to seeing what you have coming down the pipeline as well.

Whats the series called?

The series is tentatively going to be called "Good Guise."

I'll try to come up with something :P
