Enjoi... if that's your sorta thing.
Just released, check it out on youtube...
Should be making its way to NG within a week or so.
UPDATE - We have a voice, but I'll leave this up so you can get an idea of how this will work in the future.
Hey everyone, for the next episode of Uplink Saga we are going to need someone to provide a one liner for the episode. As long as you have a mic that can record cleanly and a desire to voice act then you're perfect!
Here are the catches...
This is a first come first serve basis. First comment below that says they want to do it will get it. If you don't get it, don't worry, this is probably what we'll end up doing every time we need a random character for the show.
SECOND... we can't tell you anything about the role, the scene, or anything. I will PM you with the line, you record it, send it back, and then you'll have to be surprised as anyone else to see how we use it in the final product.
Should be a fun experiment, we'll see how it all goes!
Those of you who caught the first episode of Uplink Saga here on newgrounds earlier this week may or may not know that there is going to be a lot more going on with the series than just the animations you'll see popping up here and there. While they tell the story of what happens to our heroes, there are many other supplementary elements that you guys can follow to get the whole picture. You can even actively participate in the way the game plays out by subscribing and interacting with the youtube account!
However for those of you who are interested in following the show, but don't feel the need to participate, don't worry, we've got you covered as well. Feel free to check out the Uplink Saga twitter for an accurate timeline of all the events that have happened in the game!
The episodes will be showing up here on Newgrounds pretty soon as well, but be sure to head on over to youtube if you want to play along with us.
The Second Coming is nigh...
A quick teaser for our newest project, "The Uplink Saga." This is a full on Action/Comedy designed to look and feel like a 16bit RPG. The series will be hosted on Youtube and will be an interactive show in which the viewers communicate directly with the characters via e-mail and comments in order to advise them and help them to survive. Subscribers to the youtube may also become privy to leaked documents, schematics and even be communicated with directly in order to better help our heroes.
Although the show will be centrally located on youtube, episodes will also be showing up here on newgrounds for your entertainment, however if you would like to play the game I suggest trying to keep up with the youtube page.
Till next time.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let people know that over at our youtube channel we're running a contest for our new series Epic RPG Quest. We had figured that a video series would probably be easier to properly maintain than a blog on our quest to collect and play every RPG for the original Playstation, so we wanted to help kick it off right.
The rules are in the video above if you care to check it out, and there are $100 worth of prizes being given out ($50 in games going to first place, $30 going to second, and $20 going to third.) Basically we've partnered up with a group of retro game collectors and re-sellers who have opened their inventory to the winners of those amounts.
Also, no qualms if anyone wants to subscribe for the contest and unsubscribe afterwards. We mostly just want to raise awareness about this silly thing we're doing. The subs are most just the only way to keep track who is in, although hopefully you'll like at least something on one of our channels.
As for Newgrounds stuff, we are working on an animated series that will be releasing both on Newgrounds and on Youtube, Epic RPG Quest is just something we were gonna be doing whether the cameras were rolling or not, so we figured why not, and then of course it doesn't really fit on Newgrounds obviously.
Anyways, that's all from me,
Till next time Newgrounds.
I just realized something... we've been so focused on 2012 being the end of the world that we haven't been thinking ahead for when it isn't! I mean... back when Y2K was a huge letdown at least we could be like "Well, at least there's 2012 to look forward to" But... now what?!
So I propose here and now that we pick when the next end of the world is going to be so we can prepare for it. Feel free to submit your suggestions, any vague prophecies to back it up will be a HUGE bonus.
Last week I made a post about my new blog "Epic RPG Quest" regarding my attempt to obtain and play every RPG made for the original Playstation. The response thus far has been encouraging and positive, and I noticed a LOT of people mentioned Legend of Dragoon as one of their favorites. Therefore I figured I would let anyone interested know that I have started playing and posting on Legend of Dragoon as of today. It will likely take me a few weeks to get through so feel free to check back in to see how it's going.
That is all... I won't waste any more of your time today.
